What's Up Lately

Spring 2008 Season has ended for Pitt Lacrosse. Our final weekend was a great day against Onslow. All teams played extremely well.

The U15 Girls went up against Onslows strong U18 squad. The game was tied 4 all at half time. Onslow picked up momentum in the second half to win 9 to 4. Both teams played hard with constant excitement throughout the entire game. Brittany McCarthy posted 2 goals, while Lindsay Williams and Lauren Holder added another goal each for the PittBulls Girls. Goalie Abby Evans made multiple saves against a hard shooting Onslow team.

The U13 Boys had another outstanding day posting a 9 to 0 win over Onslow. Onslow played hard and pressured Pitt at times but, were unable to slow down the very agressive PittBulls U13 players. Jordan Holder put up 6 goals, while teammates Landon Hill, Tyler Means and Conner Whitlark added a goal each. The face-off king Sam VanHuekelam provided 2 assists to keep the Pitt boys momentum string. Goalie Adam Hart made 5 saves in keeping the Onslow boys at bay for 4 quarters.

The U15 Boys fought hard against the Onslow boys. Pitt was able to post 4 goals with Michael Rotondo putting up 3 goals and Ryan McCarthy adding another goal to the scoreboard and 1 assist. Goalie Nathan Crider capture 6 saves over the 4 quarters. But, in the end the Onslow squad was able to take the win with a 6 to 4 lead at the end of the day.

We've teamed up with Pitt County Community Schools and Recreation which is starting both 7-12 year olds Instructional Coed Lacrosse and a Pitt County High School U18 Club Team in Spring 2008. Check out their website or contact us at Pitt Youth Lacrosse for further information on these excellent opportunities to play Lacrosse here in Eastern North Carolina.

We began Fall 2007 with a series of Lacrosse Clinics to introduce future players to the awesome game of Lacrosse. With the exception of the FCA clinic, all of the clinics were free. We'll try to continue this format with Clinics in the Fall 2008 leading into the Spring 2009 season.

Spring 2008 has been a great season for all of teams - U13 Boys played AWESOME (you need to come see these boys play - it's a real treat!!!) The U15 Boys continue show the other teams they're force to be reckon with...while the Girls have taken on all comers with great success - the girls are respresented by a wide age range (8 to 15) and have played some outstanding lacrosse this year with everyone contributing.

Remember - please send photos to be included on this site (all teams are welcome). We'll try our best to keep the site up to date and fresh. See the photos page for additional information.
